Count Me In 2008

This year, Count Me In will take place at midnight on the 31st March (ie: between the 31st March and the 1st April). All data needs to be submitted by the 30th April 2008.

Every provider in England and Wales of in-patient mental health and / or learning disability services will need to submit their data. To do so, the secure Census Spreadsheet and this web site are used. To find out more, please visit the Download page and read the Project Protocol and the Notes on Completing.

The objectives for Count Me In 2008 are similar to those for 2007:

1. Provide accurate information on the numbers and ethnicity of all
in-patients using mental health and learning disability in-patient
services in NHS and independent hospitals on 31st March 2008

2. Encourage all mental health and learning disability service
providers to keep accurate records of the ethnicity of all patients

3. To provide information to help providers take practical steps to
tackle discrimination in these services
